Blouin Art Info, an online arts and culture magazine, profiled the American International Fine Art Fair in Palm Beach and included a section on our stand.
The charming knick-knacks lining UK-based The Silver Fund’s shelves serve as a genteel archaeological study of the 20th century’s well-heeled. Among the silver cigarette boxes, sculpted salt cellars, and miniature Cartier clocks, an object called the Gentleman’s Companion caught our eye. The little gadget is like the Swiss Army Knife’s posh younger brother, encasing a knife, magnifying glass, pen, and key (no doubt to the Rolls Royce), in gold.
The little gadget that caught their eye is pictured above and available for purchase. Rolls Royce sold separately.

The Financial Times featured a write-up about NYC20 and mentioned The Silver Fund's participation in the event...
One of the most successful online sites for selling art and antiques is 1stdibs, which offers everything from vintage fashion and Fabergé jewellery to art, antiques and modernist design, proposed by 1,200 dealers. They all have to have a real world presence (meaning a shop) and this weekend in New York they also have their own real world fair: the inaugural NYC20. This brings together 40 mid-20th-century design dealers, all of them 1stdibs members, exhibiting in a tent at the Lincoln Centre. While most are based in the US, there are also a smattering of foreigners including London’s Trinity House and The Silver Fund (fair ends on Sunday). And in Europe 1stdibs is also extending its reach to the Benelux region, adding 25 dealers to the site, from Amsterdam, Antwerp and Brussels (online from April 18).

"The Silver Fund is now the single largest source in the world for vintage Jensen silver, Mr. James said. ''We are also the largest buyer,'' he said. ''We buy estates. We buy from other dealers. We buy at Sotheby's and Christie's.'' It is the choice for people as fashionable as Karl Lagerfeld and as powerful as Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg.
